One Way or Another, 2013 - 2017

This project uses video games as a platform to look at our fascination with observing human struggle. Structured as a video trilogy each segment pits a character against a series of impediments that she must overcome. The actions and obstacles in each video are direct references to grappling through the world of contemporary art. The entire installation plays with the desire to succeed, the desire for inclusion and validation, the yearning to be recognized as a character in the game.
